MyAirco Terms of Service

Last updated:

These terms concern the MyAirco application provided by YellowOx. They explain the conditions for using the app alongside the purchase terms shown by the app store. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law. You can save or print this page for your records.

2. What the app does and what you need

MyAirco controls compatible Mitsubishi Heavy Industries air conditioners through supported WF-RAC or WF-RAC-HTTPS Wi-Fi interfaces. Your phone and air conditioner must be able to communicate on the same local network. MyAirco does not provide control over the internet while you are away from that network.

Before purchasing, check the supported hardware and operating-system requirements in the Google Play listing and our compatibility information. Available controls depend on your air conditioner and its firmware. Support for every model, firmware version or network configuration is not promised; this does not affect your rights if the app fails to meet the compatibility or functionality described when you purchased it.

MyAirco is independently developed. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Manufacturer and product names identify compatible equipment.

3. Purchases and delivery

The price, applicable taxes, payment method and seller details are shown by Google Play before you confirm your purchase. Google Play handles checkout and makes the app available for download through your store account. Its purchase and distribution terms also apply to that transaction.

The current app has no MyAirco subscription, recurring MyAirco charge or MyAirco account. Your own internet provider or mobile operator may charge for connectivity or downloads. Buying MyAirco does not include air-conditioning hardware, installation or manufacturer services.

4. Refunds and withdrawal rights

You can request a refund through Google Play's refund process or contact us at info@yellowox.nl. Include the order reference and a description of the issue, but do not send passwords or full payment-card details. Store refund policies apply in addition to your statutory rights, not instead of them.

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, distance purchases generally carry a 14-day withdrawal period starting when the contract is concluded. For paid digital content supplied immediately, that right can be lost only when the legal conditions are met, including your prior express consent to immediate supply, your acknowledgement that you will lose the withdrawal right, and the required confirmation. Installing or using the app does not, by these terms alone, waive that right.

Where a withdrawal right applies, send a clear statement to the email or postal address above before the deadline, identifying yourself and the purchase. You may use: “I withdraw from my purchase of MyAirco, ordered on [date], order reference [reference]. My name and address are [details].” This wording is optional. Any refund due will be handled within the applicable legal deadline. Rights relating to faulty or misdescribed digital content remain available even after a withdrawal period ends.

5. Permitted and safe use

You may install and use MyAirco for its intended purpose within the rights provided by your purchase and applicable licence terms. Only connect to equipment and networks you own or are authorised to control. Do not use the app to gain unauthorised access, interfere with someone else's equipment or bypass access controls.

Follow the air conditioner's installation, maintenance and safety instructions. MyAirco is a convenience control interface, not an emergency or safety-monitoring system. Keep access to the manufacturer's controls and do not rely on the app as the sole safeguard where loss of temperature control could cause harm.

The app, its branding and third-party components remain subject to applicable intellectual-property rights. Open-source components retain their own licence terms, available through the app's open-source notices. These terms do not restrict rights granted by those licences or by law.

6. Functionality, updates and consumer remedies

We must supply digital content that meets the contract and applicable legal standards. We will provide the updates, including security updates, required to keep it in conformity for the period required by law. Install necessary updates made available through the app store; we will explain relevant installation requirements or consequences where required.

Network conditions, phone settings, other controllers and changes made by hardware or operating-system providers can affect operation. If MyAirco does not work as described, contact us so the issue can be investigated. Where the law provides a remedy, this may include bringing the app into conformity without charge, an appropriate price reduction or ending the contract and receiving a refund. Technical limitations described here do not remove those rights.

7. Privacy and local data

The current app communicates directly with compatible equipment on your local network and does not require a MyAirco cloud account. How it handles settings, permissions and diagnostic information is explained in our Privacy Policy. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes locally stored app settings and diagnostic information; it does not undo configuration already sent to your air conditioner.

8. Responsibility

Our responsibility for loss or damage is determined by applicable law. These terms do not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. You retain all mandatory rights concerning defective digital content.

9. Support, complaints and stopping use

For support or complaints, email info@yellowox.nl, or write to the address in section 1. Describe what happened and, if relevant, the app version and air-conditioner model. We will investigate and respond about the available solution. Sharing a diagnostic report is optional.

You may stop using and uninstall the app at any time. Uninstalling does not itself submit a cancellation or refund request; use the contact or refund routes above. It does not affect any right you have to end the purchase contract or obtain another remedy under applicable law.

10. Changes and applicable law

We may publish updated terms to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements, with a new revision date. Updates do not retrospectively remove rights attached to an earlier purchase. If a change is intended to apply to an existing agreement, we will provide notice and obtain consent where the law requires it. Publication on this page alone does not override those requirements.

Dutch law applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protection under the law of their country of habitual residence. You may bring a dispute before any court competent under applicable consumer-protection rules. Nothing here requires you to use a foreign court where the law gives you a right to use your local courts.
